Wallpaper performs best on smooth walls. Textured walls are not recommended, as the wall texture may show through the wallpaper and installation results can vary.

Some customers have successfully installed wallpaper on lightly textured surfaces, but we cannot guarantee performance on textured walls. We recommend ordering a sample first and testing it on your wall before placing a full order.

Wallpaper can be used in many bathrooms and kitchens under the right conditions.

• Avoid areas with direct or constant water contact, such as inside showers, shower enclosures, tub surrounds, backsplashes exposed to frequent splashing, or other wet areas.

Wallpaper is sold by pre-cut panels that are designed to align side by side for a seamless look, so there’s no need to figure out pattern matching on your own.

Measure the tallest height and full width of your wall. Include doors, windows, and any obstacles, as wallpaper is installed around these areas and still needs to match across the wall.

We recommend ordering all panels at once to ensure the best color consistency. Slight variations between print runs can occur.

Yes. Samples are available for purchase. We recommend starting with a sample to see the color, texture, and scale in person and to test the wallpaper on your wall before placing a full order.

Peel & Stick & Pre-Pasted: Designed to be removable from properly prepared walls. Wall condition, paint quality, surface preparation, and installation conditions can affect removal results.

Non-Pasted: Designed to be strippable, though removal effort may vary depending on the adhesive used. Recommended paste information is included with the installation instructions.

Wallpaper can last for many years with proper installation and care.

Peel & Stick can also be removed when you’re ready for a change, making it a great lower-commitment option.

Wall Preparation

• Walls should be clean, dry, and free of dust before installation.

• If your walls have been recently painted, allow the paint to cure for at least 4 weeks before applying wallpaper, even if the surface feels dry to the touch.

Primer

• Applying a wallpaper primer is generally a good idea. It helps create a uniform, sealed surface so the wallpaper adheres evenly and may make future removal easier.

• Peel & Stick: Primer is optional on painted, smooth surfaces, but recommended on bare drywall.

• Pre-Pasted: Primer helps seal porous or patched areas and create a more uniform surface for installation.

• Non-Pasted: Primer is recommended to improve adhesion and allow for easier removal later.

Wait at least 4 weeks for paint to fully cure before installation, even if the walls feel dry to the touch.

All wallpaper is made to order, so each order is printed just for you. Orders are typically produced within just 2–3 business days, followed by standard shipping transit times. Most U.S. orders arrive within 1-2 weeks from purchase.

There are no additional duties or import fees for U.S. orders.

If you need to cancel, please contact us as soon as possible and we'll do our best to accommodate your request. Once production has begun, orders cannot be canceled.

We stand behind our craftsmanship. Please open and inspect your wallpaper before installation begins. If it arrives with a printing defect or transit damage, contact us at ivy@paintedivy.com within 14 days of delivery with your order number, clear photos of the defect, and photos of the shipping packaging. Because all wallpaper is custom-printed to order, all sales are final and we do not accept returns or exchanges for change of mind.
